About Valentina Lacmanovic
Valentina is born Croatian, exiled French, recently moved from Barcelona to Amsterdam, dancer, choreographer and actress.
She studied Philosophy at University of Zagreb and at Paris St. Denis and acting at the Conservatoire National Superieur d' Art Dramatique in Paris.
After spending time in North India and studying dances from Rajashtan, she learned dances from Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Iran and Turkey. Her career focuses completely on fusioning Eastern and Western artistic expression. Since 2004 she is exploring trance dances, making the dance of whirling dervishes being her main inspiration and basic technique for the contemporary and personal reading of ancient rituals. |
