We are delighted to introduce you to
the 4th Le Petit Festival du Théâtre, the exclusive annual art and culture fair for Art & Theatre Lovers. Our next festival will be held September 2 – 6, 2008 in the wonderful City of Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The incredible reception of our earlier festivals has encouraged us to undertake this exercise of passion to complement the incorporable season of our wonderful city.

Le Petit Festival du Théâtre
Within an incessant myriad of events in Dubrovnik year round, Le Petit Festival du Théâtre not only aims, but succeeds in being a unique and outrageous extravaganza that introduces modern, current, updated poetics and aesthetics in different forms of arts and crafts. Presented before an international audience, always and whenever possible, in the presence of and with the participation of artists, writers and designers.

Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is by itself, a piece of art. It's classical, historic environment tends to open up to everything modern. Proclaimed by National Geographic, as "one of the most attractive destinations in the world", its rapidly increasing tourist industry and accompanying services require and impose the need of something more up-to-date. In essence, Dubrovnik’s art relies usually on the classical forms, especially in music, where, Le Petit Festival du Théâtre will provide the alternative in the heart of the city.

Last year Dubrovnik was visited by some 80.000 French tourists, 60.000 German tourists, 30.000 Americans, 50.000 Japanese and 70.000 Italians. All together more then a half a million people passed through this magical and most unique medieval city on Earth. Without a doubt, Le Petit Festival du Théâtre will fill the streets and add to these numbers.

Theatre Marin Držić
Although it is not exactly (and not only) a festival of theatre productions, its first season in 2005, provided the opportunity by the management of the City Theatre to venue most major events. The City Theatre is a public non-profit institution, its building was completed in 1862. The classic velvet-upholstered and gold-gilt theatre makes a perfect setting for any beautiful gatherings. The City Theatre vouches to professionally organize every event.

Media
Le Petit Festival du Théâtre has captured the attention of the local and international media. It was reported upon by national television, numerous radio stations; interviews, newspapers and magazine coverage was equally large. The first friends that gathered in Dubrovnik have since grown in number, as has the curiosity of the local population.
