The City of Dubrovnik is part of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

It encompasses the following settlements: Bosanka, Brseèine, Èajkovica, Èajkoviæi, Donje Obuljeno, Dubravica, Dubrovnik, Gornje Obuljeno, Gromaèa, Kliševo, Knežica, Koloèep, Komolac, Lopud, Ljubaè, Mokošica, Mravinjac, Mrèevo, Nova Mokošica, Orašac, Osojnik, Petrovo selo, Pobrežje, Prijevor, Riðica, Rožat, Suðurað, Sustjepan, Luka Šipanska, Šumet, Trsteno, Zaton, and the surrounding seas.

The City of Dubrovnik has a surface area of 143.35 km2. According to the population census in 2001, this region had 43,770 inhabitants (23,167 females, 20,603 males).
